IMAP & SMTP configuration settings for Outlook or Hotmail

Your email app may use IMAP in case it doesn’t support Exchange ActiveSync. IMAP can sync all your email folders, Unlike POP, which can sync only your inbox.

In your email application Use the following settings:

1. For Incoming (IMAP) Server:


1. In the Server address field type in imap-mail.outlook.com


2. In the Port field type in 993


3. In the Encrypted Connection mention SSL
2. For Outgoing (SMTP) Server:


1. In the Server address field type in smtp-mail.outlook.com


2. In the Port field type in 25 (if 25 is blocked, use 587)


3. In the Authentication field mention Yes


4. In the Encrypted Connection mention TLS
3. Enter your email address in User Name field.


4. Enter your password in Password field.
